Ryan T. Swan, M.D.
Dr. Ryan Swan completed his undergraduate studies in political science at the University of Washington before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996.
He then joined the U.S. Navy, which provided him with the opportunity to participate in a surgical internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, before fulfilling his service requirements. After his internship, he functioned as the primary medical officer in the care of a 2000-person Marine Expeditionary Unit based in Okinawa, Japan. Other key responsibilities included preparing for mass-casualty situations and emergency evacuations in Southeast Asia.
After his discharge from the Navy, he undertook a three-year residency at Loyola University Chicago, which he finished in 2003. He became the medical director of Wyoming Medical Center’s Rehab and Transition Care Units that same year.
Dr. Swan has been practicing in Casper serving as Medical Director of Rehabilitation for an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit. Dr. Swan has particular interest in rehabilitation treating neurological disorders.
